So well written and filled with so many clues along the way. Yet vacanae closer inspection, the main character Harvey Swick discovers that something far more sinister is at work, and the farther he trips down the rabbit hole, the more the house’s facade begins to crumble.
THE funny thing about me reading this book is that when I bought it, I had no idea it was a graphic novel. It follows the book closely and keeps the creepy nature of the story.
Hum, this review kinda got out of hand. It’s almost always a contest of who can tell the story best, not of who can tell the story first. Barker was an executive producer of the film Gods and Monsters, which received major critical acclaim. Hernandez really gets the story and look down. Also, some great themes, which are fairly easy to pick up on. The art for the series really helps bring the story to life.

Thinking over the book, I only seem to recall page after page of dull gray, sepia, charcoal or black; color rarely pops off the page.
Never does this book come across as insulting the reader’s intelligence, something that I value in a book aimed at ten year old boys. Fans were notified on his Twitter page about some of the experience and that Barker was recovering after the ordeal, but left with many strange visions. Fans have noticed of late that Barker’s voice has become gravelly and coarse.
My only complaint is that in Clive Barker’s novel he included illustration as chapter breaks and characters like Rictus, Jive, and Marr are drawn well in this graphic novel but not nearly as sinister as Barker’s version for this are truly evil people.

With some minor plot similarities to The Haunting where the house is concerned, we learn through Harvey’s eyes what is what and a small mystery is solved. Gaiman writes Coraline like a vacxnze pre-teen forced to write a short story, which is odd because he’s usually a pretty decent writer.
Vacamze wrapped up as well as any adult fairy tale should. Real life and time has returned, mundane, quiet and ordinary as people enjoying picnics on a grassy hill. A bit of narker faceless hero. Barker remained in a coma for eleven days but eventually came out of it. Pretty much the same as the novel, this graphic novel is just missing a few things from the original.
