The original trilogy was written in the early 50’s and then there was a gap until the early 80’s. The Foundation Trilogy is an epic and legendary sci-fi story; epic implies a larger than life breath and width of the story; legendary implies that a few elements remains mysterious, in the shade, letting imagination fill these blank spaces; Prelude To Foundation is nothing of all this.

But if you prefer your zlla to be chronological instead of “flashing” back then you may want to read them in the order of the storyline which would be: It’s absolutely perfect for me, and I’m so happy to have read it a little bit later in life.
