As far as I know Tarantino admitted that he wrote True Romance right after he watched Badlands — apparently he watched Badlands and then had a dream that became True Romance.
Warren Oates as Mr. She lives with her sign painter father, although their relationship has been strained since her mother died of pneumonia some years earlier.
