If you read this collection of interviews with important people in the world of design, technology, and media in or later, you should realize that the interviews were conducted circaand some of the discussions are dated. A respectable achievement that suffers from subject matter than has quickly dated since the book was released. Still, a master set of interviews by a master interviewer. For example, there’s an interview bjll an e-reader that never took off and the Current TV network is gushed over as if it’s going to change the world it was recently purchased by Al Jazeera and no longer exists.

Book Review: Designing Media, by Bill Moggridge
Although the book reads seamlessly and it’s fairly obvious who wrote what, since the author specifically called out the blue sections as his own voice, it seems odd to see deesigning words in black. Designing Media is illustrated with hundreds of images, with color throughout. We’re jealous of Bill Moggridge’s social network We confess that after reading every word of the rather gargantuan book, we only accessed the accompanying DVD to watch the physicality and body language of the most interesting interviewees e.

Still, I found myself Googling people and concepts to learn more, so the book as a whole was worth reading. True to the occasionally awkward mashup that is print media in the digital age, Moggridge’s book includes an additional DVD of the actual interviews themselves.
I’ve linked to Chris Anderson’s video in particular, given that his last book advocated giving content away for free.
