It is incredibly encouraging to see how much Passivhaus has grown over the 5 years and to compare where it was then and where it is now…. However, the client did receive a passifhaus to install solar thermal panels for hot water. It has super insulation and triple glazing passivhais windows and doors combined with insulated timber frame all help to retain heat. If rigid insulation is used and fitted badly with too many gaps, air movement around and between the insulation boards is increased, which can drastically reduce its insulation value.
