Heartney describes it as an exclusively male movement, ignoring the likes of Paula Rego and Eileen Cooper, and fails to take issue with the inadequate label in which she includes styles as varied as realism, neo-classicism and street art. I had to read this book for a communications class. What is art without an artist? Still, this book is well worth the hour or so it requires to read and is well suited to udergranduates and general reader alike.
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. The layout is very interesting, but the text is way too hard for a non-philosophy or non-art person like myself to understand.
