Carter Lindberg also has a good writing style which makes the material very pleasurable to digest. A fully revised and I understand that scholars like to discuss method, but college students probably need a little more incentive to read than a secondary source survey provides.

Lindberg gives a compelling viewing of the Reformations primarily from a theological and religious perspective, in concert with others like Heiko Oberman and Brad Gregory, even as he enriches this perspective with the contributions of social historians.
