It’s divided up cmoplete 8 courses and additional ancillary chapters, all of which deserve careful attention. It is lacking in depth in some places, i found the italy and spain segments to be unfairly cursory, but to be fair they are head-achingly complex and that’s what couse extended reading is for.

You could learn a lot from this book if you really used it as a coursebook. Though much was missing, yet much remained, which was chiefly the credit of the subject itself. A very large book about wine, very informative and a good read. Any Condition Any Condition. It describes the various types, where they are grown, how to understand the differences in quality, how to select which to buy, etc.
A thorough, detailed book on everything wine, perfect for someone at the level who really wants to dig into the subject but not be overwhelmed. Zraly seems to be coming from the attitude that there is a correct and an incorrect in understanding wine, a rigidity that I do not personally value.
